Darpan Samiti was established in 2011 to address social issues, environment issues and problems of women in Uttarakhand.
Darpan Samiti has implemented various initiatives to achieve its mission, including education and skills development programs, health and sanitation projects, women’s self-help groups, environmental campaigns, and cultural events.
A registered organisation under Societies Registration Act 1860 came into existence on 10th May 2011. Ms. Vibhu Krishna is secretary and chief functionary of the organization. She is a social activist, radio announcer, media person, event manager and documentary movie maker.
Our society is working in various fields, creating social awareness through presentation of our documentary movies among people various organizations, Govt. departments, NGOs and institutes.
We also provide our services as an Event management company.
Besides making documentaries and event management activities we are indulged in theatre and cultural activities. We have a youth wing and a children wing.
We are committed to the promotion of theater and performing arts.
We regularly perform street plays based upon several social issues like Voter awareness, beti bachao abhiyan, Sanitation, Environment degradation etc. across the district and outside.
We are also registered in information department, Ministry of Information. So we help government for publicity and broadcast of their social welfare schemes among common citizens and villagers.
We are also working along Sambhav Manch dehradun. Which is a renowned theatre group awarded by president of India.
Darpan’s youth club is affiliated with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan , Ministry of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Youth Affairs & Sports.(Government of India)
Our youth club works with youth of villages and town. We organize youth counseling sessions, vocational training programs and painting/theatre workshops every year.

Support social/historical audio-video and indigenous research documentation activities focused on the region.
Facilitate the creation and governance of a Museum dedicated to Uttarakhand Culture, Crafts, Arts & Artefacts.
Support educational institutions in promoting reading habits among youth through community libraries and focused initiatives.
Support other social enterprises for overall development and social harmony in Uttarakhand.
Strive for People-Development, prevent migration of local talent, promote ecologically sustainable development, and transform Uttarakhand positively.
